2009 Summer Intensive Workshop Faculty
Week 1 - Ballet Intensive Workshop
Anna Ivanova
Miss Ivanova began her ballet studies at the Perm Ballet Academy in the former Soviet Union, and later studied at the Frunze Ballet Academy.
Upon graduation from Frunze she performed with Chebliabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre as principal dancer.
After accepting an invitation to become a principal dancer with the Donetsk Ballet, Miss Ivanova toured the Eastern United States.
From 1994 to 1999 she was a principal dancer with the Russian Ballet Theatre of Wilmington, and in 1998 she was a finalist in the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.
Miss Ivanova is a featured guest artist and ballet mistress with ballet companies throughout the United States.
Her repertoire includes many classical ballet roles and contemporary works by choreographers including Daniel Baudendistel, Leslie Browne, Robert LaFosse, Scott Jovovich, and Matthew Neeman.

Kimberly Martin
Kimberly Martin began her training in Tampa, FL, under the tutelage of Haydee Guitierrez.
She studied with the San Francisco Ballet School and then continued her academic and dance education at Wake Forest University where she studied with faculty from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
Upon graduation, she performed and toured with the Ballet Theater of Pennsylvania and went on to join the Russian Ballet Theatre of Wilmington. While still performing, Ms. Martin was invited to teach master classes and to join the faculty of several dance academies in the tri-state area.
Ms. Martin was instrumental in developing an arts education program targeting at-risk youth. This program then became a part of a city-wide Arts Education Program established at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, DE.
For the past six years she has been teaching full time, creating both children's and advanced level dance programs. Many of the students she helped train have been accepted into the most prestigious ballet schools in the US. Others have gone on to dance professionally.

Angela Boyd
Angela is an alumna of the Anna Marie Dance Studio, having trained with Miss Anna Marie, Sonny Leo, Jody Fugate, as well as Michael Owens, Frank Hatchet and Madame Darvash in New York City.
She has performed under the direction of guests artists such as Cathy McCann (Paul Taylor Company), Katherine Posin and Lisa Gennaro.
Angela is a proud member of Actor's Equity having performed in professional award-winning productions of "Aida", "Beauty and the Beast", "The King and I", and "West Side Story" just to name a few.
She has also performed all over the world on various cruise lines. Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Elementary Education from Hofstra University, Long Island.

Paul Gibbs
Paul Gibbs comes to us from his most recent tour with the Original USA Gospel Singers.
Prior to that he was a featured vocalist and dancer with The Young Americans and National and International Outreach Tours.
Other credentials include the Weber-Prianti Production of "Smokey Joe's Cafe", and "Into the Woods" at the Walnut Street Theater; the Broadway Theatre Project with Ann Reinking, and many more.
In addition to performing, Paul is an accomplished teacher of jazz, lyrical and contemporary dancing.
We welcome Paul to our Intensive Workshop.
